everybody here has an opinion of carbon fiber, many hate it because it's mostly for looks. some people like it because it does in fact look quite nice (to me anyway). I don't think the majority of people have seen first hand how nice these are. either way, if you like it get it and forget what everybody else thinks. worst case you have a stock hood that has minimal hail damage (I could barely see it) that you could use if you decide to sell the CF hood or if you get tired of it. there is also the option of a semi-see-through paint. a good paint shop can apply paint that will look stock until you look directly down on it and then it can be seen through. I'm really thinking about doing that when I get my car painted. the hoodpins come from Sparco in anodized blue, red, and polished. they were out of the polished when I bought them so I got the blue, they match my engine hoses. although I'm either going to switch them to the polished ones or have my current set powdercoated black. definately don't skimp on the pins though, you'll need them as the latch alone isn't gonna hold up. I'll try to post some of the pics of the hood on my car later. I think one of the factors that make it look ok on my car are the black rims also. Maybe LordZ has some pics he can post for me... ...it's sooo good to have her running again. now if I could just get past this pesky break in thing...
